The Institute has been selected as the centre of "Community Development Scheme Through Polytechnic"(CDP)funded by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, Through the Community Development Scheme the Insitute intends to work towards skill development among in educated or marginally educated people with emphasis to weaker section of the society, like women, minority etc, to make them socio-economically self reliant.
